Cal OES saw an opportunity to strengthen situational awareness and coordination across agencies during fire and all-hazard incidents. Response efforts often require coordination across districts, field teams, communications providers, and other external stakeholders, making it critical to keep everyone aligned with timely, shared incident information. Teams also needed access across desktop, mobile, and field environments, including situations where internet coverage was limited.
QualApps supported a modern emergency operations platform approach including web-based access across devices, mobile field tools, statewide incident visibility, support for multiple concurrent incidents, integration of wildland fire pre-plans, and synchronized use in spotty or no-coverage environments without data loss.
